*Congress party passed the following resolutions at its plenary session held at Raipur, Chattisgarh on 26.2.2023*

1.    Socio-Economic Caste Census, on the lines of the Census; 

2.    Dedicated Ministry for the Empowerment of OBCs

3.   Equal access to jobs for SC/STs and OBCs in the private organised sector

4.   Reservations for them in the higher judiciary.

5.    Special budgetary allocation to accelerate the development of OBCs

6.    National Council for Social Justice would be set up on the lines of the National Development Council to review the progress and gaps in implementing India’s social justice policies and legislations, and to strengthen the rights and entitlements meant for SCs, STs, OBCs, and minorities,

7.    National law to ensure that a portion of the Union Budget is earmarked in proportion to the population of SCs and STs in the country

8.    Inclusion of SC/STs, OBCs in EWS quota.

9.    Rohith Vemula Act for backwards, minorities

10.                   Constitutional status to the National Commission for Minorities and National Commission for Women.
